Corporate Experiences & Welcome Services

Great onboarding shouldn’t stop at the office door.

A new job often means so much more than just joining a new company. For international employees and executives, it also means arriving in a new city, a new country and an entirely new cultural environment.

Companies invest considerable time and care in introducing new colleagues to their organisation, their teams, their responsibilities and the respective corporate culture.

But there is another part of arriving that begins outside the office.

Understanding the place you now live in. Meeting its people. Discovering how they spend their time, how they communicate, connect with each other, what they eat, how they celebrate and which traditions and stories have shaped the culture around them.

At Munich Culinary, we believe:

A new culture is better understood when it’s experienced.

That is why we create personally hosted Corporate Experiences and Welcome Services that help international employees, executives, partners, families and teams discover Munich and Bavaria through local food, conversation, people, traditions, stories and shared experiences.

Corporate onboarding introduces the company.
We help you introduce the place around it.

Why we believe in this

Starting a new job and arriving in a new place are two different processes.

Six cities. One language — and six very different ways of arriving.

  1. Münster
  2. Cologne
  3. Frankfurt
  4. Berlin
  5. Munich
  6. Zurich

During my professional career, I have had to start again in a new city several times. Even when the language was almost the same, everyday life could feel remarkably different.

Dialects, food, humour, traditions, social habits and regional identities changed. And with every new employer, another layer was added: a new corporate culture, new expectations and a new way of working together.

A good corporate onboarding programme can introduce a new employee to the company, its people, its values and the way it works. But understanding the city and culture around it takes something else: curiosity, encounters, conversations and experiences.

That personal experience is the idea behind our Corporate Experiences at Munich Culinary.

A different kind of cultural onboarding

Some things are easier to understand around a table than on a PowerPoint slide.

Culture becomes easier to understand when you experience it: over dinner, at a local market, through a traditional custom or simply by seeing how people spend time together.

Food · Conversation · Humour · Traditions · Stories · People

These are universal languages almost everyone understands. They create natural opportunities to talk about everyday life, regional identity, traditions, social connections and the ways people communicate and live together.

There is rarely one simple answer. That is why we do not teach cultural stereotypes. We provide context and create the environment for genuine conversations about life and work in Munich, Bavaria and Germany.

Ways we can help

Different occasions. One idea: helping people arrive, connect and feel welcome.

01

Executive Welcome

For executives beginning a new professional and personal chapter in Munich.

Personally hosted and individually arranged around their interests, available time and personal situation. Partners can naturally be included.

02

Cultural Onboarding

A personal introduction to the environment beyond the office.

Through food, traditions, history and everyday culture, we provide international employees with context for the place in which they now live and work.

03

Partners & Families

A new job may belong to one person. A new life rarely does.

Welcome Experiences can include partners and families — helping them discover everyday life, social connections and what living in Munich might actually feel like.

04

Temporary Assignments

A compact introduction for people whose time in Munich may be limited.

We help international employees and executives understand the city and culture around them — and make more of the time they have here.

05

Team & Connection

Teams do not only build relationships in meeting rooms.

Shared food, places and experiences create natural conversation and genuine time together.

06

International Guests & Clients

Make Munich part of your company’s hospitality.

Personally hosted experiences for colleagues, clients and business partners who should see more than the usual sights.

Why it matters

Welcome is more than a gesture.

Companies invest significantly in finding the right people and helping them succeed professionally.

A thoughtful welcome adds another message:

We don’t just want you to work here.
We want you to feel welcome.

Curiosity instead of uncertainty.

Context instead of assumptions.

Conversation instead of distance.

Welcome · Orientation · Appreciation · Connection · Belonging

The objective is not to turn an experience into a seminar.
It is to make the experience more relevant to the people taking part.

Let’s create the right welcome

Tell us who is arriving.

Whether you are welcoming a new executive, helping an international employee and their partner settle into Munich, bringing a new team together or hosting an important client, we would be pleased to create the right experience with you.

Tell us about the people, the occasion and what you would like them to take away from their time with us. We will personally suggest an approach that fits your organisation and your guests.
